When paving loses its original look
Over the years outdoor paving darkens, loses colour and collects embedded dirt. It often looks like it needs replacing, when in fact the material is fine underneath.
Common problems
- Darkened paving
- Loss of original tone
- Embedded stains
- Worn, faded stamped concrete
- Black or damaged joints
Restore or replace?
Restoring costs around 90% less than re-paving. New flooring for a 40 m² terrace starts at €3,000–5,000 for materials and labour alone, plus rubble and days without using the space. Restoration takes one day.
When we recommend replacing instead
We tell you honestly at the diagnosis stage if restoration isn't worth it: broken tiles or structurally damaged joints, damp coming from below, or porous materials so degraded that a sealer won't bond. We don't restore just for the sake of it.
Protection afterwards
Aesthetic, standard or premium sealing reduces water and dirt absorption so the result lasts longer.
