Oil stains are among the hardest because oil soaks into the pores. The older the stain, the deeper it goes.
First aid for a fresh stain
Cover it with an absorbent (sand, sawdust or cat litter) as soon as possible, let it work and sweep it up. Then wash with hot water and a degreaser. Don't scrub with plain water: you'll spread it.
Old stains
They need a technical degreaser that emulsifies the oil inside the pores, time to act, and washing with professional pressure and flow. Porous concrete may need several applications. Some very old stains fade a lot but not completely.
Preventing it
A premium sealer with grease protection keeps oil on the surface so it wipes off easily. Recommended for garages, warehouses and commercial kitchens.
